Plan An Afternoon Outing For The Kids At a Splash Pad In Baton Rouge

Highland Community Park Splash Pad

The Highland Community Park splash pad is the perfect place to cool off the kids during the summer. Located on Highland Road, this splash pad features a 3-ring spray tunnel, tri-bucket water dumps, and a high shower pole. There are lots of benches on-site so you can sit and keep an eye on the kids too.

Finally, this park has everything you need to entertain the whole family — a boat launch, a playground, recreation center, tennis courts, and an indoor basketball court. You’ll need to check it out on your next family outing!

Liberty Lagoon Splash Pad

The splash pad at Liberty Lagoon definitely raises the standard for splash pads. Located within a kid-friendly water park with lifeguards, the splash pad features an umbrella runoff and multiple water slides. It’s partially shaded and has a rope bridge for alternate entry access other than stairs.

With pavilions on-site and other water attractions, you’ll need to make this a day outing. Before you head out, be sure to bring snacks, sunscreen, towels, water shoes, and whatever else you may need for a water day with the kids.

Greenwood Community Park Splash Pad

The Greenwood Community Park splash pad is very similar to the one at Highland Community Park. It has an 8-ring spray tunnel (instead of a 3) and a tri-bucket water dump that will surely cool the kids off on a hot summer day.

This park also features multiple playgrounds—perfect for older kids and toddlers alike. Check out the park to see its walking loop, pond, boat launch, and dog park.

North Sherwood Forest Community Park Splash Pad

Located on North Sherwood Forest Dr., this splash pad lies within an interesting loop within the park itself. It is surrounded by pavilions, playgrounds, and decking near a lake—perfect for the whole family to hang out for the day.

The splash pad features a tri-bucket dump, an umbrella runoff, and multiple spray rings. Be sure to bring towels, snacks, and sunscreen, especially if you plan on staying out for most of the day.
